NATO_Build Your BusinessWe want you to be successful in your new career and so we teach you how to build your referral network, gain clients, win listings, position yourself and build a business and marketing strategy.  We coach you through a number of exercises and programs that have proven successful time and time again.  You will work closely with your coach and with other new agents in your “class” and gain confidence as you gain clients.

Planning Your Time

2 Transactions to GraduateWe welcome both full time and part time agents.  For NATO, plan to spend 4 weeks in special training from around 8 to 3:30 during the week and on Sundays for Open Houses.  Your home will be in NATO for 4-6 months, or until you’ve completed at least two real estate transactions.  After you graduate from NATO you’ll decide which of our offices you’d like to join to further progress your success.

Financial Considerations

$3,000 Approximate Initial Investment

We provide you with a wide range of programs and services that are proven to build your business.  And unlike other companies, many marketing, technology, business, office and support services are free to you.  Keep in mind that when you sign on to any real estate brokerage firm, you will have an initial investment of about $3,000 for required industry related costs. We suggest planning approximately this same amount per year in expenses.  Your first paycheck will come with your first completed real estate deal, and that could be 4-6 months.  So, as with starting any new business, be financially prepared.

Eren Look is Senior Vice President and Branch Manager for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties NATO Office.

With over 30 years of real estate experience, Eren brings energy, enthusiasm & her love of the business to every aspect of the NATO program. Her straight forward, no-nonsense approach has a proven track record of helping agents succeed & taking their business to the next level.

She began her career selling real estate and was later offered a management position in 1992. Since then, Eren has worn several different hats including being a part of the leadership team where she contributed to coaching & agent development, recruiting and overall branch performance for the Honolulu, Windward & Waikiki offices. While she was there, the respective offices all ranked in the top 10% of Coldwell Banker offices nationwide.

Through education and training, Eren hopes to inspire and elevate the professionalism in the real estate industry. Her life passion is to equip and motivate others to be the best they were meant to be so they in turn can positively impact the world around them.

Eren currently serves on the Hawaii State Association of Realtors Education Committee providing input and guidance on various education programs. She also developed curriculum for the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and instructs that course throughout the State. In addition, Eren teaches two of HAR’s Strategic courses as well as teaches Core CE classes, New Agent Orientation and National Association of Realtors (NAR) Code of Ethics for the Honolulu Board of Realtors.

Kalama joined Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in 2005 and helped support the Kahala sales office. In 2006, Kalama was promoted to lead the Waikiki sales office. Kalama’s past career experiences include his position at City Bank as the Vice President of Retail Division where he oversaw the sales and operations for its 24 branches. He was also a Sales Manager for Best Value Travel and is a professional tennis player and instructor. Kalama holds a major in Finance from the University of San Francisco. When not in the office Kalama is either on the courts or spending time with his wife and 3 children.
